Two men have been charged with murder following the death of a 68-year-old man found in a block of flats.

Officers were called to the residence in Raglan Terrace, Yeovil, at about 19:00 BST on Sunday 23 June. The victim, Franklin Ingram, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Martin Gerald Carty, 56, of Raglan Terrace, and Mark Robert Sothcott, 55, of Stiby Road, are due to appear at Taunton Magistrates' Court later.

A third man in his 50s, and a woman in her 40s, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but have since been released under investigation.

Det Ch Insp Mark Almond, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "Our thoughts are with Franklin's next of kin who is being supported by specialist family liaison officers.

"While the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised these charges, our investigation continues. We'd still like to hear from anyone with information who has not yet spoken with officers."
