Two arrested after weapon found in car, police say

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of having an offensive weapon after police were called to reports of people being verbally abused.
Officers attended Manvers Way in Wath-upon-Dearne at about 16:45 BST on Wednesday, South Yorkshire Police said.
They searched a vehicle, where a weapon was found.
A 52-year-old man was arrested for racially aggravated public order and possession of an offensive weapon, and a 50-year-old woman was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.
The pair were bailed with conditions as inquiries into the incident continued, police said.
