Injured rider rescued after being thrown from horse

Volunteers from Edale Mountain Rescue Team helped the injured rider

A horse rider was stretchered to hospital after falling while on a ride in the Peak District.
The rider was thrown from her horse on a track above Hagg Side in the Derwent Valley on Tuesday.
Edale Mountain Rescue Team was called to the scene at about 11:05 BST.
The rescue team said she suffered a lower leg injury.
Rescuers used a specialist mountain stretcher to get the rider to safety
Rescuers administered pain management medication before loading her onto a stretcher.
She was moved to a waiting ambulance and taken to hospital for further treatment.
