Arrest after 'terrifying' knifepoint robbery

Shop staff were robbed at knifepoint during a "terrifying incident" that resulted in £80 being stolen, police have said.

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident, which happened at the One Stop in Sandell Place, Amesbury, Wiltshire, at about 11:40 GMT.

A cordon is currently in place at the store while police investigate.

Det Con Martyn Powell said: "This was a terrifying incident for the staff where they were threatened with a knife. Wiltshire Police is treating this matter as a serious incident."
