A man has been arrested in connection with a firearms incident after a police appeal for information.

Armed officers were called to Norwich Road, Marsham, at about 19:15 BST on Tuesday over concerns about the safety of someone living there.

Norfolk Police confirmed a 30-year-old was arrested in the West Midlands at about 19:30 on Thursday on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

The force said a woman in her 50s was also being held on suspicion of assisting an offender and both would be returned to Norfolk for questioning.
