Man appears in court over attempted kidnap charge

A man accused of attempting to kidnap a woman in West Yorkshire has been remanded in custody.

Luke Stephenson, 34, appeared at Bradford Magistrates Court on Monday charged with attempt to kidnap or falsely imprison of a person with intent to commit a sexual offence.

Police said the alleged incident happened on Nab Lane, Shipley, at about 20:00 BST on Thursday.

Mr Stephenson, of Moorland Terrace in Skipton, did not enter any pleas during the hearing.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bradford Crown Court on 14 October.
