A man who was arrested after a fatal motorway crash has died.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary took three people into custody following a three vehicle crash on the M27 on 21 February.

Michal Kaminski, 36, a lorry driver from Salisbury, died at the scene, near junction five for Southampton Airport.

Sussex Police confirmed a 32-year-old man from Yapton, Arundel, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving, has died.

The force said the circumstances of his death were not related to the crash, which involved a Nissan Juke, a Volkswagen Polo and a Mercedes lorry.

A 37-year-old man from Littlehampton was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until 21 November.

A 40-year-old woman from Littlehampton was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains released under investigation.

The three arrested people were taken to hospital following the crash, while a woman in the Nissan suffered minor injuries.

The family of lorry driver Michal Kaminski paid tribute to him in February and called him "one in a million".

He moved to the UK from Poland about 10 years ago and lived in Salisbury, where he worked as a driver for flooring firm Salesmark West.
