A motorcyclist was caught speeding at 158mph on an A-road, which was the highest speed recorded in the county since 2020.

The bike was captured by a mobile speed camera travelling along the A14 - which has a speed limit of 70mph - near Creeting St Peter, Suffolk, on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said a Notice of Intended Prosecution would be sent to the registered address of the bike's owner and, once the driver was identified, they would be summoned to appear at court.

The spokesperson added the next highest speed a driver was caught travelling at was 147mph, which was a motorbike on the A14 in 2022.
