Two seaside villages in East Yorkshire have been chosen as locations for a new feature film.

Scenes will be filmed at the Flamborough Women's Insitute hall and the Bondville Model Village in Sewerby.

The film has been dubbed a "celebration of older women" and a tale of triumph over adversity.

Rachel Hill, the owner of Bondville Model Village which will provide a backdrop for some of the scenes said: "It definitely resonates with me. I did something really crazy in my forties by buying a model village but have no regrets."

The film will star former Coronation Street and Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye alongside ex-Hollyoaks actor James Atherton.

Production on the film is expected to start in January and released in cinemas in October.
