Three arrested after 16-year-old dies in crash

Three people have been arrested after a 16-year-old died in a crash.

Essex Police were called to Blake Hall Road in Ongar at 00:20 BST following reports of a car found in a ditch.

A 16-year-old male died at the scene, and police said officers have been supporting his family.

Three males, aged 15, 17 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

They were all taken to hospital, but police said they were not seriously injured and were taken into custody.

The force urged anyone else who might have more information to contact them and help with inquiries.
