It's a busy week of news coming up in the West of England. We take a look at what you can expect to read about on the BBC News website in the next seven days.

Airport meeting

Tuesday: A public meeting is being held over plans for Bristol Airport to extend its runway - meaning it would take over a part of nearby Felton Common.

The airport wants a longer runway to accommodate long-haul flights.

Airport bosses say they realise how important the land is, and are "consulting with those with rights on the common, users of the common and local residents".

Save Felton Common's meeting is at Felton Hall.

Somerset parking charges

Wednesday: Somerset Council is due to decide whether to introduce Sunday parking charges in the county.

The move has been recommended for approval, despite objections and the authority's scrutiny committee voting against.

Dawn Sturgess inquiry

Thursday: The inquiry into the death of Dawn Sturgess - who was poisoned by the nerve agent Novichok in Wiltshire in 2018 - will publish its final report.

The report will set out the findings of the seven weeks of evidence heard last year - from both the open and closed hearings.

You will be able to follow the latest as the report is released on our live page which you will find here on Thursday.

Lord Hughes of Ombersley will also make a short statement on the findings.

CrossCountry strike

Saturday: If you are planning to travel on CrossCountry trains at the weekend, you might want to consider alternatives.

Members of the RMT union working for the firm are due to walk out on Saturday - the first of four planned days of action in December.

CrossCountry says all its routes will be impacted with a "limited service" in some places, no service in others and it is likely they will not run as late in the day.
