'Traumatic incident'

The man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Tuesday 26 August.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said it despatched three emergency crews to the incident, as well as a charity air ambulance.

Police want anyone who witnessed the incident or who captured dash-cam or CCTV footage to contact police at Woodbourne.

Deputy lord mayor of Belfast Paul Doherty, who is a councillor from the area, said it was a "traumatic incident" for the family and the community.

"It was quite disturbing scenes with the air ambulance and emergency services quickly coming onto the scene," he said.
