Work to refurbish a paddling pool and repair a water park in Hull, both of which were closed this summer, will start next week, the city council has said.
Improvements to the Pickering Park pool include new jets and water features, as well as an upgraded filtration system.
The facility has been closed since 2023 over health and safety issues and was originally expected to be completed this summer.
Work will also take place to repair the water play area at East Park, the authority added, in time for both to reopen for summer 2026.

The Pickering Park renovation was originally due to be completed in time for the school summer holidays
It comes after the council originally said the Pickering Park pool renovation would be completed in time for the school summer holidays.
Councillor Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for culture and leisure, said: "We were as disappointed as our residents that we were unable to have these water play areas open for the summer, so I'm delighted we're getting ahead for 2026.
"We know how valued these facilities are and these works are a priority for the council," he added.
Fencing is being erected at both Pickering Park and East Park with the majority of work scheduled to take place before the end of October.
New surfacing would be applied early in 2026, the council said.
