More than £200,000 has been awarded to a museum in Worcestershire by Arts Council England (Ace).
In total, £239,922 is to go to Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, which is operated by Museums Worcestershire (MW).
Museums Worcestershire's head of museums, Philippa Tinsley, said the money would "increase the resilience" of Worcester's museums.
Liz Johnson, Midlands area director at Ace, which delivered the grant from its Museum Renewal Fund, said: "The funding will allow them to improve spaces in their Victorian building and open up opportunities for new displays and income generation."
According to MW, the funding will support the conservation and protection of Worcester's art collection to enable commercial activity, such as weddings and corporate events, to take place in the art gallery and museum.
It will also support the development of new learning sessions for schools and a programme of events to commemorate the 375th anniversary of the Battle of Worcester.
The funding period is for the financial year 2025 to 2026, with all funds to be spent by 31 January 2026.
