A dog walker was threatened and grabbed around the throat by a motorcyclist, police have said.

The assault happened in Pitman Place in Wotton-under-Edge at about 20:30 BST on 17 July.

Gloucestershire Police said the rider of a silver motorcycle had followed the man, who was walking his two dogs, before threatening him and grabbing his throat. He then drove off in the direction of the town centre.

The force is appealing for witnesses and described the motorcyclist as a white man in his late 50s or early 60s, of medium build, who wore glasses and had a small moustache. He was wearing silver motorbike leathers and a helmet with black detailing around the visor area.

Anyone with relevant information or who has dashcam or CCTV footage is asked to get in contact with the force.
