Driver dies after two-vehicle collision in village

A driver has died following a collision with another vehicle which also left two people injured.
The 70-year-old man was driving a Renault Kangoo on West Moor Road in Raskelf, North Yorkshire, when it was involved in a collision with a black Land Rover Discovery at about 15:30 BST on Wednesday, police said.
The man, from Helperby, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Land Rover, a 53-year-old woman, and her passenger, an 80-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for checks.
Officers asked anyone who witnessed the crash, or who might have dash cam footage from the scene, to get in touch with North Yorkshire Police.
The Renault Kangoo was believed to have been travelling towards Helperby, while the Discovery was heading in the opposite direction towards Raskelf at the time of the collision, police said.
