A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 63-year-old man outside a pub in Swansea.

Police said they responded to reports of an unconscious man outside The Mill, Brynymor Road in Brynmill, at about 20:15 BST on Friday following an alleged assault.

He was taken to the city's Morriston Hospital where he died on Sunday.

Steven Vonk, 51, from Westbury St, Brynmill, appeared at Swansea Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.

He is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday.
