Man charged with assault over disorder

A man has been charged with assault following disorder in Wolverhampton in which two people suffered stab injuries.
West Midlands Police said it was called to Staveley Road at about 16:45 GMT on Monday.
Two men were taken to hospital, with their stab injuries not believed to be life-threatening, the force stated.
Miqdad Ahmed, 31, from Warrensway, Telford, has pleaded not guilty to assault, and his case is due to be heard at Walsall Magistrates' Court on 3 July next year.
The force said three men had been released on police bail as inquiries continued, adding two others were released with no further action to be taken.
