Two men have been jailed over a machete attack in Wolverhampton.

The violence against another man unfolded on Barcroft Road on the afternoon of 13 February.

At Wolverhampton Crown Court on 21 November, Faisal Hussain, 20, of Goldhill Road, Birmingham, was jailed for six years after admitting at an earlier hearing to conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH), and possession of a bladed article.

Jassdeep Singh, 21, of Ingestre Road, Wolverhampton, was jailed for four years after a jury found him guilty of GBH.

West Midlands Police said officers carried out extensive CCTV inquiries to identify those involved and arrested Singh and Hussain a month after the attack.

Det Const Leah Povey said: "This was a horrific attack in broad daylight.

"There's no justification for such extreme violence and these two men will rightly be spending time behind bars for their actions."
