Teenage boy and man injured in quad bike hit-and-run

A man and a teenage boy have been injured in a quad bike hit-and-run in Edinburgh.

Police Scotland said the incident happened at about 15:00 on Saturday in the Niddrie Mains Road area, near to the Jack Kane Community Centre.

The victims, aged 15 and 20, were taken to hospital for treatment.

Det Sgt Alex Johnston said: "Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

The officer urged anyone who was in the Niddrie area on Saturday afternoon and saw the bike being driven around to get in touch.

He also encouraged people with relevant dashcam footage or private CCTV to contact the force, external.
