Man charged with rape and strangulation of women

A man has been charged with seven more sex offences against three women, including rape and strangulation, taking the total number he is accused of to 30.

Samuel Rust, 22, previously of Boverton, Llantwit Major, in the Vale of Glamorgan, has been charged with rape, sexual assault, strangulation and actual bodily harm (ABH). The offences allegedly happened in Gloucestershire and South Wales, police said.

He was remanded in custody in May following initial charges against him including rape, strangulation and sexual assault.

He is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday over the latest charges.
