A man has been charged after shots were fired at a house and a car in Doncaster.

Armed police were called to Ingram Crescent, Dunscroft, just after 19:00 BST on Wednesday to reports of a firearms discharge.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, aggravated vehicle taking, driving without insurance and while disqualified.

South Yorkshire Police said he had also been charged with burglary in connection with an incident in September.

The man, who remained in custody, was due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Saturday, a force spokesperson said.
