Dog rescued from mud after falling off riverbank

A dos been rescued from mud in Cornwall after it fell off the side of a river bank.

Cornwall Fire Service said it received calls just before 15:40 BST on Saturday of the incident in the Newham area of Truro.

It said the dog had fallen 4m (13ft) off a river bank onto tidal mud flats.

A fire service spokesperson said two crews from Truro were sent to the scene and used a triple extension ladder to retrieve the dog, who did not sustain any injuries.
