An electric bike rider was hospitalised with a life-threatening injury after a crash with another cyclist.

The 21-year-old man was cycling in Coldham's Brook, between Stourbridge Common and Ditton Meadow in Cambridge, when he crashed just before 21:00 BST on Thursday.

Cambridgeshire Police said the other cyclist, a 15-year-old boy, was not thought to be seriously injured.

Det Sgt Craig Wheeler said: "This was a serious collision between two cyclists, which has left one of them fighting for his life in hospital with a serious injury."

He asked for anyone with information, or any relevant dashcam or video doorbell footage, to contact the force.
