A man in his late 20s is in hospital with life-changing injuries after a crash involving a lorry and three other vehicles.

Avon and Somerset Police said it was called to the "serious collision" on the A361, between Leighton and Nunney Catch in Somerset, on Wednesday at about 07:35 BST.

The man was airlifted to hospital and his next of kin have been contacted, the force added.

The road was closed for about 10 hours while officers investigated the crash, and re-opened at about 18:20 BST.

Two other people were taken to hospital with injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, police said, adding another was treated at the scene.

Officers want anyone who witnessed the crash or may have information to contact them.
