A week-long carnival event kicked off at the weekend with an appearance from the Red Arrows.

The RAF's display team impressed those at the Swanage Carnival, their attendance there the first one since 2017.

The event is run solely by volunteers and last year donated about £30,000 to local charities.

The theme for 2025's carnival is Cirque du Swanage, with organisers saying they are keen to fill the town with colour and energy, until it concludes on Saturday.
