Attempted murder arrest after woman struck by car

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after police said a woman was struck by a car outside a pub in Kidderminster.

Officers were called to the incident in the car park of the Hare and Hounds pub on Stourbridge Road at about 17:15 GMT on Saturday, involving a grey Audi A4.

West Mercia Police said the victim, a woman in her 30s, suffered serious leg injuries and remained in hospital.

Following the incident, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.

The force is appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Information can also be submitted anonymously through independent charity Crimestoppers.
