Two charged with attempted murder after assault

A man and a woman have been charged with attempted murder after a man was assaulted in Lincoln.

Sarah Mason, 46, of no fixed address, and Matthew Pearson, 29, of Monks Road, Lincoln, are in police custody and due to appear before magistrates in the city on Monday.

Lincolnshire Police said officers were called to a property in Monks Road on 31 August and a 37-year-old man was found with serious injuries.

A spokesperson for the force said he remained in hospital in a serious condition.
