Schoolboy 'feels like a star' after CBeebies show
- Published
An eight-year-old boy from Earlsdon, is starring in the CBeebies programme, I Can Do It, You Can Too.
The show, which sees children pass on a skill they have learnt to other children, was Caleb's first television appearance.
In the episode, avid squash player Zoya taught him how to play the sport.
Caleb said he "feels like a star", after his family rolled out a red carpet and hosted a special viewing party to watch his on-screen debut.
His mum Faye said she first heard about the opportunity after she spotted an application form online.
She filled out the form, where she outlined Caleb's skills and what he wanted to learn, before he was invited to an online interview with the production team.
Before they knew it, he was picking up a squash racquet in front of the cameras.
Caleb said he was very excited to learn the fast-paced sport and enjoyed filming the show because "cameras were everywhere".
He described the experience as "amazing" and said he hoped to appear on the stage in the future.
Faye added how seeing him on the television had made her feel "extremely proud".
Caleb is set to feature in another episode of the show, where he will take his turn as coach and teach his partner how to cross a wobbly bridge.
I Can Do It, You Can Too is available on CBeebies and the BBC iPlayer
