Wildlife photographers from Alderney and Sark are being encouraged to be inspired by this year's Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition and to enter next year's show.

The exhibition is open at La Société Sercquaise on Sark until 26 April.

It features 59 photographs and 15 short films taken in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

In total, 63 entrants submitted about 200 images, Guernsey Arts said.

In the exhibition, images from local wildlife photographers are shown alongside the featured photographer, Barry Wells.

Mr Wells takes minimalistic macro shots of insects without disturbing the wildlife.

A spokesperson for Guernsey Arts said: "With the exhibition going on tour to Alderney and Sark this year, we are hoping photographers from both islands will be inspired to submit their entries in later exhibitions."
