Funding boost for arts and music festival

A music and arts festival is set to expand after being awarded £29,000.
Nottingham's Young Hustlers will see workshops across schools, community groups and young creatives launch next month thanks to the Arts Council funding, organisers said.
The annual event has a range of activities running throughout the day in venues around Sneinton and Hockley.
It will take place on October 20 alongside Hockley Hustle.
Organisers hope this year's theme - Loud and Proud - will focus on celebrating individual and community identity.
Now at its sixth edition, the event will also launch Future Hustlers with a group of creatives aged 18 to 30 at City Arts.
Jah Digga, a Nottingham-based rapper, will be leading workshops at Djanogly City Academy, and said: “I’m excited to work on this project to see the young people express themselves through creative writing and performing."
Young Hustlers co-director Saziso Phiri said: "The community projects will enable people from different backgrounds to come together, celebrate their differences, and build understanding.
"We also want to involve and support our young people in Nottingham to give them the opportunity to see that a creative career in the arts is possible.”
The organiser said 850 people attended last year's event, including 250 tickets which were donated to low income families.
