Former CI Tyres site could get flats development

Proposals for 57 flats at the former CI Tyres site should get the go ahead, Guernsey planning officials have recommended.
Guernsey Housing Association bought the site at at La Charroterie in St Peter Port in 2022 for £1.7m.
A decision on the application will be made at an open planning meeting on 19 March., external
A number of recommendations have been made before any work can get under way.
These include ensuring the surrounding biodiversity is maintained, making sure privacy from neighbours is kept and that builders repurpose medieval stone in the roadside wall.
The open planning meeting will be held at 14:15 GMT in the Saumarez Room at Beau Sejour, said the government.
