Leisure centre and library shut due to flood damage

A leisure centre and library were closed after they were damaged by a flood.
The Dunstable Centre in Bedfordshire said it would be shut “until further notice due to a power cut”.
Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed “contractors are working hard to deal with the damage that resulted from last night's flood”.
The centre houses a pool, gym, sports facilities, a cafe and library.
Everyone Active, which runs Dunstable Leisure Centre, apologised for any inconvenience, and said members can use Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre during the closure.
The council said Dunstable Library would remain closed on Thursday 1 February but that books could be renewed or returned to any Central Bedfordshire Library.
