Rail services delayed after person hit by train
- Published
Major delays were reported on rail services after a person was hit by a train in Nottinghamshire.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) said a freight train was stuck between Newark and Nottingham, meaning trains could not run between Lincoln and Nottingham on Tuesday morning.
It said the line had now reopened, adding it is "working to resume our normal timetable between Nottingham and Lincoln".
Replacement bus services were provided and passengers were able to use EMR tickets on other trains while the line was closed.
