People have been encouraged to help build a picture of what could be improved in the Isle of Man's health service by completing an anonymous survey.

The family and friends test is part of an initiative to increase the amount feedback about treatment Manx Care from service-users, carers and families.

Originally launched in August 2022, the survey has prompted about 19,000 responses, with communication and waiting times identified as ongoing issues.

While the survey runs all year round, drop-in session are set to be held by the Manx Care Advice and Liaison Service (MCALS) to promote the initiative between 17 and 21 June.

Improvements

The survey can be completed online, by scanning QR codes on posters, or by filling out forms across Manx Care's sites.

The drop-in sessions with MCLAS to find out more about the initiative will take place on consecutive days at the Noble's Hospital Foyer, Onchan Library, and Shoprite stores in Ramsey and Peel Shoprite, with the final session at Crossroads for Carers in Douglas.

Experience and engagement lead at Manx Care Karen Maddox said: "Every voice is important in building a picture of what’s working well and what can be improved."

Completing the survey would "help make Manx Care better for all of us", she added.
