More than 20 firefighters are dealing with a tyre blaze at the former Birmingham Wheels leisure park.
Two wooden structures and tyres caught fire at the site in Saltley, which has caused a large plume of smoke, West Midlands Fire Service said.
Nearby residents have been advised to keep windows and doors shut while crews extinguish the fire.
The 48-acre site closed in 2021 and was purchased by Birmingham City's American owners in April.
It was home to a number of sports clubs, from racing to speed skating and had hosted sporting events for more than 40 years.
The fire service said at about 20:00 BST that five appliances were at the scene, external and were successfully extinguishing the fire.
