Road to close after events at CBS arena

Road closures are being introduced after football matches and concerts at Coventry Building Society Arena.
The A444 Jimmy Hill Way will shut for a short period after each event to help pedestrians exit quickly and safely from the arena, Coventry City Football Club said.
The post-match road closures will begin from the Sky Blues’ first home league game of the season against Oxford United on 16 August, but will not be in place this Saturday.
A diversion route will be available with clear signage through Holbrooks Lane to Pickwards Way near the M6 .
Supporters leaving the arena following events will still be urged to use the correct crossing areas, however there will not be traffic on the road while the road closure is in place.
A spokesperson at Coventry Building Society Arena said the measures were put in place to ensure the safety of "thousands and thousands of people" leaving events at the arena.
The closure will apply for all Coventry City home first-team fixtures and concerts in the stadium.
