A system enabling people in Jersey to get a Covid vaccination status digital certificate is being repaired after some "issues", officials have said.

The Government of Jersey said staff were working on the Covid Status Certificate (CSC) portal.

It added that anyone who needed a certificate while the portal was down could contact the island's Coronavirus Helpline, external to have a PDF version emailed to them.

The PDF files include QR codes for both first and second doses administered.

The government said: "These QR codes are accepted in many countries, including all those that are part of the EU Gateway.

"However, islanders must check the vaccination requirements of the country they are travelling to."

The government also said work to provide QR codes for booster doses was "currently under development and we anticipate this will be available by 15 December".

The system has had previous problems, shutting hours after it was opened in October.
