Two arrests after £600k cannabis farm found

Two men have been arrested after more than 700 cannabis plants were found in a police raid.

The drugs found in Telford had an estimated street value of up to £600,000, West Mercia Police said.

It was discovered at a property on Stafford Road, Wrockwardine Wood on Wednesday morning.

A 24 and 29-year-old were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

The warrant had been based on "good intelligence around the illegal supply of drugs in the area," said PC Jamie Farrelly.

The force would continue to act on information given to it by the local community, the officer added.
