A man's body has been found in woodland by a group of children, police said.

Officers were called to a wooded area off East Hills Road in Costessey, near Norwich, shortly before 14:30 BST.

Norfolk Police said while formal identification had yet to take place, the family of missing 59-year-old Andrew Yourglivch had been informed.

A cordon has been put in place and the man's death was being treated as unexplained, the force added.

In a Facebook post earlier this month, external, police said Mr Yourglivch was last seen at his home address on Godric Place, Norwich, on 27 June and he was reported missing on 9 July.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place to establish a cause of death.

Police said further contact would be made with the families of the children over the coming days to offer support.
