A major road near Nottingham has reopened after it closed due to a crash.

The A52 was shut in both directions between the A6011 Gamston Island and the A606 Wheatcroft roundabout, says Highways England.

This was due to a collision involving a number of vehicles reported at about 12:00 BST on Thursday.

Police and paramedics were at the scene for several hours before the road reopened at about 15:00.
