Large fire at metal processing plant

Emergency services were called to the metal processing plant, in Corby, early on Sunday morning

Fifty tonnes of waste material is on fire at a metal processing plant.

Crews were called to Matrix Met Corp Ltd, at Kirby Lodge, Gretton Brook Road, Corby, at 05:15 BST.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was under control and three appliances were at the scene.

People living close by have been asked to keep their windows closed due to the smoke, it added.
