Tube and train services to Heathrow will be reduced due to maintenance work planned for the last weekend of November.

There will be no Heathrow Airport service running on the Elizabeth Line or Heathrow Express train running on 25 and 26 November, Transport for London (TfL) has said.

The Piccadilly line will serve Terminals 2, 3 and 4, with buses available for Terminal 5 but there will be no service between Acton Town and Uxbridge.

TfL has urged commuters to plan ahead before travelling as there are also other suspended services across London that weekend.

Further disruption includes:

  • No service between Paddington to Abbey Wood in the Elizabeth Line

  • No National Rail services at Paddington Station on 25 November due to signal upgrades

  • London Overground services will also be suspended due to planned track repairs between Highbury and Islington to Clapham Junction and West Croyden as well as other parts of the line

Elizabeth line services between Shenfield and Liverpool Street, and rail replacement buses west of Ealing Broadway, will be available.

Central, Jubilee, and Piccadilly lines alongside replacement buses are expected to be busier.

Elizabeth line director, Howard Smith, said: "These works were planned several months in advance and should help ensure that the Elizabeth line infrastructure operates reliably."

"Network Rail and HS2 are also preparing for their new railway and station at Old Oak Common which will also mean some future closures."

TfL said the closure is also part of its plans to improve mobile phone coverage in the railway's tunnelled section.
