Man in custody after woman stabbed in St Leonards

A 37-year-old man has been charged after a woman was stabbed at a property in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex.

Police were called to the address at about 04.40 GMT on Friday.

The 27-year-old victim was taken to hospital but has since been released.

The man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage and breaching a non-molestation order. He was remanded in custody and is due before Brighton magistrates on Tuesday.
