'Barnaby Webber's guiding light will help others'

The family of a teenager who was fatally stabbed hope to create a lasting legacy in his memory.
Barnaby Webber, 19, Grace O'Malley-Kumar, 19, and Ian Coates, 65 were killed by Valdo Calocane in Nottingham in June 2023.
Following Barnaby's death, his family set up The Barnaby Webber Foundation, and hundreds will attend its first fundraising event at the teenager's former school in Somerset later.
"This foundation is going to allow everyone to see Barnaby for what he was, and is, and will be - which is a guiding light," event organiser Tanya Sheasby said.
Money raised for the foundation will go towards charities supporting young people in need.
Ms Sheasby told the BBC: "The fund will go to facilitate cricket, foundation cricket equipment clubs and training for underprivileged children - no matter what demographic you're from.
"It will also be able to be reached by other young adults who find themselves struggling with life circumstances and they will be able to apply to be helped by this foundation."
Ms Sheasby, who is a friend of the Webber family, said it was important to them to have big fundraising events.
"There has to be some good that comes from this," Ms Sheasby said.
"Barnaby was a very open and giving human being, and this foundation will be exactly that," she added.
The event at Taunton School will be hosted by BBC One Show presenter, Alex Jones, and a charity auction will be led by auctioneer, Thomas Forrester.
Prizes include VIP Coldplay tickets with a backstage tour, a Wimbledon ball from the 2023 men's finals signed by Carlos Alcaraz, and a personalised video message from Olly Murs.
The event will take place at 18:30 BST, with tickets still available.
