Boy, 10, suffers serious injuries in crash

A 10-year-old boy who was riding his bike has suffered serious injuries after being involved in a crash with a car, police have confirmed.

Officers were called at 14:28 BST on Saturday to Rothesay Gardens, in Honicknowle, Plymouth, to reports of a crash between a cyclist and a white BMW.

The boy was taken to hospital for his injuries and the road was closed for investigations to be carried out.

The road has since reopened and officers have asked any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward to assist with its investigation.
