An emergency road closure has been put in place in a Leicestershire town after a hole was discovered.
Lancaster Road in Hinckley was closed on Wednesday by Leicestershire County Council.
A council spokesperson confirmed a team was at the site investigating the cause of the hole in the road.
"Once we understand the full nature of the problem, we will arrange for the necessary repair works to be undertaken," the spokesperson said.
They added: "The road will remain closed to ensure safety for highway users until the repair is completed."
