Thieves stole a person's TV, microwave and washing machine after pretending to be electrical workers, police said.

Essex Police said two men called at a home in Winchester Road, Colchester where they "tested" items and declared them unsafe.

They returned two days later on 15 May and collected the items but never returned them, the force said.

It warned people to be vigilant about the pair, who used a van branded with "Electrical Solutions" lettering on it.
