Three arrested over van tool thefts
- Published
Three men have been arrested in a crackdown on the theft of tools from vans.
Police executed warrants at addresses across East Leicester on Tuesday.
Power tools were found during a search of one of the addresses.
The men, all in their 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal between 24 October and 27 November.
The arrests follow a number of theft and attempted theft offences across the Midlands throughout November, say police.
They include an incident in Stathern, Leicestershire, in the early hours of 16 November when a van was broken into and power tools were stolen.
Similar offences have also occurred in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Herefordshire.
