Greg Macvean took this image on a visit to Isle of May. Greg said: "Puffins call the Isle of May home between April and mid-August with 46,000 breeding pairs making up part of the 250,000 island seabird population."

Daniel White said: "Not the greatest weather for walking the Ring of Steall at the weekend but the sun shone enough to get this picture of Glen Nevis before the clouds came in."

David MacKenzie said of this shot taken from North Queensferry: "Up for the sunrise, only to get grey gloop. However, the Forth Bridge managed some colour."

Joanne Baird, of Edinburgh, submitted this picture to the gallery. Joanne said: "On our favourite walk at The Hermitage near Dunkeld we discovered Ossian, one of the herd from the Hairy Highland Coo trail."

"The big kid in me very much enjoyed watching the Dumfries Charity Tractor Road Run go past my village - especially as all the drivers waved as they went past," said Elaine Scott.

Victor Tregubov said of his image: "Loch Lomond just before the sunrise - so called, the blue hour - the time of the morning when colours are almost monochrome but with the approaching sun they will be changing like in a kaleidoscope every few minutes."

Graham Christie sent in this image of St Andrews Cathedral for the gallery.

Colin Bourhill, of Alexandria, visited Bow Fiddle Rock at Portknockie. Colin said: "The grey skies added to the drama of scrambling down to the beach at low tide to view the rock - well worth the effort."

Lorna Donaldson liked the distorted reflections on a "super shiny" coffee caravan at Stirling University.

Douglas Monaghan sent in this shot of the Tay's Larick Beacon. Colin said: "Amazing to think people lived on this."

Charlie McGinn, of Helensburgh, said of this image: "Strong winds blowing in off the Atlantic Ocean at Bellochantuy Beach. Some of the waves rolling in were massive. Beautiful to watch from the safety of the shore."

Brian Colston, of Falkirk, said: "I like to visit Glen Coe to admire the scenery as the seasons change. The wet summer we're having so far this year has certainly added some greenery to the always stunning landscape."
